2017 has been an outstanding year for Potteries, with the hiring of a number of key staff across all departments of the business.
Sadie Emery joined Potteries in January as our Transport & Quality Manager – bringing her 20 years of knowledge and experience in the industry. Sadie has already proved to be a valuable addition to the team, ensuring the business is operating in the best and most effective way possible. In addition, Michelle Cope is our new Accounts/Office Administrator, having joined the business in September.
This year there have also been a number of new additions to our on-the-road team, including Sean Burke and Sean Merchant, both of whom have joined Potteries as Heavy Haulage Vehicle (HGV) drivers earlier in the year.
Both drivers are enjoying the challenge at Potteries so far, both commenting: “Potteries is a great company to work for – there’s a great company ethos at Head Office. The vehicles we drive are top spec and very comfortable for long periods away from home and have innovative safety features to make our job as easy as possible. They have been perfectly optimised for long-distance transport, and its great to travel all over Europe – you never know where you’re going to end up next!”
These new appointments have allowed Potteries Heavy Haulage to grow and prosper in the market.
Michael Edwards, Managing Director of Potteries, is delighted with the new additions to the team: “The calibre of staff who want to work at Potteries just goes to show how far we’ve come as a company. From the drivers on the road to the mechanics to the office staff, everyone does an important job, and is a vital addition to the Potteries team. We look forward to seeing what 2018 will bring!”
